For the majority of soil types, the no-dig option is available. Using the included insert rod, simply press into the ground and twist into place. For hard, rocky soil, you can opt for the dig-in option, where you'll need to dig a hole that is both deep enough and narrow enough to fit the stake, with a smaller diameter than the shaft. After inserting the stake, tighten the rod.
